Linkage between the ERCOF/MLF workshop and the National Conference on Reintegration.

After Malacanang Palace, the group proceeded to Bayview Hotel for the meeting between representatives of the Ercof Technical Working Group and the members of the Task Force formed in the National Reintegration Conference. Due to the almost simultaneous holding of both conferences, Ercof had previously met in February with Mai Anonuevo, co convenor of the reintegration conference, in an effort to harmonise the outputs of both conferences, given that the migrant economic agenda was a common feature. As agreed, Mai Anonuevo made an effort to make a presentation in Davao on reintegration, as with Administrator Wilhelm Soriano, of OWWA, likewise a co-convenor of the reintegration conference and that the respective working groups would meet after their respective conferences to discuss future collaborative efforts.
The Reintegration Task Force was represented by Mai Anonuevo, Executive Director of Balikabayani, and Gina Alunan, Executive Director of Atikha, partner ngos in reintegration of migrants and their families. The Davao workshop was represented by members of the TWG who were present at the Malacanang meeting.

Both groups exchanged conference documents, discussed possible ways of exchange of information, points of contact, and sharing of resources and networks. A common commitment was made to explore ways of harmonizing efforts, rather than working at cross-purposes.
